Edward Bennett is an accomplished actor, known for starring in War Horse (2011), Napoleon(2023) where he played Jean de Cambaceres and Royal Shakespeare Company: Love's Labour's Lost (2015) to name but just a few.
Edward attended the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts (RADA) from 2001 to 2004. Following this training, he has had an incredibly busy and varied career onstage and on screen, where he honed his craft as a formidable actor.
He then moved to the Novello Theatre in London's West End with the Royal Shakespeare Company to continue playing Laertes in Gregory Doran's acclaimed production of "Hamlet". He took over as the title character for a substantial run 2008-9 when David Tennant was sidelined by back surgery.
Concurrently playing the King of Navarre in "Love's Labour's Lost" and Demetrius in "A Midsummer Night's Dream" at the Courtyard Theatre in Stratford-upon-Avon. During this time, he picked up the 2nd place Ian Charleson award for Hamlet and Loves Labours Lost RSC.
His Film and Television career is one to marvel at, where he played Prime Minister Pitt in Poldark, a regular in the Cobra series, displayed his dexterity with comedy in Miranda, and playing the infamous Goldman Sachs MD in Industry.
Edward’s credits are never ending (we haven’t even mentioned his TV roles in Victoria, Industry, and Benediction, his film role in Sky Fall, and playing Roderigo at the Donmar, London, alongside Ewan McGregor)!
We are very lucky to have Edward to guide us through the intricacies of screen acting, theatre and particularly to impart his enthusiasm and his knowledge of Shakespeare.
