Code of Conduct for Staff and Students

  • All students need to be respectful of others whilst attending the Academy, where supportive and welcoming behaviour is required at all times, whether during coaching sessions or during breaks.
  • Students need to be respectful of coaches and peers at all times to benefit the learning at the Academy.
  • Students are to refrain from using inappropriate language that may offend those attending the course. However, there may potentially be content in scripts of an adult nature, which coaches will contextualise to avoid offence. If students are particularly sensitive to such content, please advise the Artistic Director before the Academy week.
  • Students are allowed to bring phones to the In2Drama Academy and as they pose a useful tool for many of the modules, such as script writing, research and filming. We aim to educate students with the appropriate use of the devices and ask students not to take pictures of each other or post footage on any social media platforms without prior consent of the students and coaches. We aim to develop and educate an understanding for this type of technology, so the students use the phones positively and appropriately.
  • All personal belongings, including phones, are the responsibility of the students. In2Drama takes no responsibility for the loss or damage of any items. Students are not to touch or interfere with any other person’s private property.
  • Students or Staff must never make physical contact with each other unnecessarily at any time.
  • In2Drama insists on an environment which is inclusive and promotes equal opportunities for all students and staff and cultivates an understanding of each other's diversity.
  • In2Drama focuses on developing excellence with aspiring performers in all disciplines. In2Drama reserves the right to refuse or exclude any person at any time prior or during an academy if in the opinion of the Artistic Director of In2Drama, that person is incompatible with the general wellbeing and safe running of the week. (See T&Cs)
  • Appropriate casual and comfortable clothing is to be worn at the academy with suitable trainers or shoes pending activity.
  • If any student feels uncomfortable or has any problems or issues whilst attending the academy, they are strongly urged to talk to the In2Drama DSL at the earliest time possible. (Philip Waller, Founder/Artistic Director phil@in2drama.com)
  • If there is a concern and the student does not wish to disclose information to the In2Drama DSL , the student is encouraged to talk to any member of staff associated with the academy that the student feels comfortable to talk to.
