Interview with In2Drama Acting Coach, Henry Hereford, on his role in Luther: The Fallen Sun

We asked acting coach Henry Hereford 5 quick fire questions about his time on set:
What was the difference being on set for Luther compared to a low budget film?
Luther was a big budget film so the money and what was provided for you was much bigger - e.g. driven to set, a trailer - it was also covid so there was testing every other day.
How did they shoot the scene you were in?
My scene was shot at Shepperton over several days 2 months before. When I was in Piccadilly I was literally placed on the stunt car and arranged as if I had fallen on it.
How much interaction did you have with the other actors?
Very little - It was covid and we were kept apart as much as possible.
How important is it to develop all the skills, from camera work, sound and editing to become a successful actor or director or producer?
Very - it means that you understand what everyone does around you and how important everyone is on a film set and also it will mean you will have more skills to help you make your own work.
What would your top 5 tips be to any aspiring actor?
1. You have to want to act no matter what the project or the audience
2. Be comfortable not working
3. Keep in class
4. Don’t compare yourself
5. Enjoy it!
